Morning Moda Merchantistos. Been styling this new Gieves&Hawkes custom/made-to-measure three piece look in seersucker this morning before can get down to procrastination in d’earnest. How to style this fella? First, take the sunshine and apply liberally.

Then activate Augustus Pablos- Java. Its the theme/backtrack to this look, right? I hear it every step I take. Get it on now. Okay, tried a natural colour version of the Smedley Henley was showing you. Wrong. Looked proper horrid.

Seems it’s all about a spankers, crisp, white Sunpel tee, an Anderson&Sheppard cocoa ‘lawn cotton’ polka dot scarf and a vintage Pucci square for me. It seems.

Seared sucker.

Then out on the deck, I added a pair of rather old Etro canvas/croc toe cap Oxfords.

Croc, croc, croc on wood: Do The Three Tone Shadow Strut.

The total thing breaks down okay without the coat, just vest and tee, non? Might have pants taken in a bit at bottom and taken up a fraction. What do you fink? I’m certain it needs the sun to function, but thats gonna happen surely. Cant post for a while as too too much on, so make the most of this team S&E. Back with some shouts about a bad boy blazer look coming to a wine bar near you: A blazer so good it makes me wanna buy more gold jewellery. For now, taking the Sneersucker Dub Strut around the town.

Sharpener out.

My life in the sunshine. This outfit needs the sunshine.

Morning Style Mongers. How does you lot feel about Henley style tops? Am changing my opinions on ’em, slowly. Quite fancy a couple of these guys from John Smedley, having vidied them down The A&S Habba. Something rather nice, relaxed and manly about them, non?

Might be good under something. Might be wrong though. Might just be good on their own. Look quite good on Matey-Off-The-Telly, sort of rower-chic. On me however, could also look a bit Steptoe Snr. if you got it wrong/had the wrong head on. There’s another style, Malachy (click), but I’m dangerously near to Step’ Snr. Maybe will stick to Singlets. What could go wrong? More Balearic maybe. Anyway, this is not a blog post. Its just something thats being thought. James Perse is the label that everyone goes to for Henleys so am told, but blow all that hype, am packing the The Aero, we’re shooting at MK II today (click), cool, yeah?

Meanwhile the rain flying off the roof and drumming on my decking is sending me nuts. Who authorised this? Not really coping with writing on here at mo’. Working the whole time and cant seem to get the knack of channeling it. New clients and that, but they’re ones who require discretion. Might have to take a new tack.

Stubbs out.

Afternoon Style Merchants. Working on piece on pants this bank holiday, pausing only to examine the damp patches that are coming through my newly damp proofed exterior walls. Pants and damp patches. Oh the searing glamour of it all.

Maybe antiperspirant would help?

Hows that for straight reporting. Dull, no? Thats not even the bad bit, its just a better photo. Damp cursing. Trying to work out if matters to life or not. Maybe it doesnt. Might help my work-out along perhaps? Maybe damp course failure is abstract and doesn’t really impact on stuff. Maybe. I’m imagining a direct correlation between damp patches, pant copy, anger, work-out vigour and singlet purchase volume later today, during my down time. Downtime, I hear you say? Yes. Downtime.

Morning Style Merchants. Just don’t ask too much, but after some stylistic forays at The Hurlingham Club this week, for me, its all about a Lock&Co linen flat cap. Today in The Metropolis am gonna be in their linen/cotton eight piece cap (click).

Lock&Co eight piece Baker Boy light.

Teamed with a singlet, naturally, the new style from Sunspel (click). Singlets are critical, yes. Did I mention that? I hope so.

Luxury track pants have taken my attention too. Nearly all of it. “Your track pants, are all made by Balmain, and there’s bald spots and DAKS in your hair, yes there are…”. More like leggings, or meggings, should I say? Got a whole stash in, but there aren’t songs to go with all of them sadly. Theyre becoming more vital still. No word of a lie. Vital. Got a stash of bombers in for Matey-Off-The-Telly too. No time to share those either. Sorry bout all this.

Anyway, then there’s this retro sportif fella below, got him in for a pal of mine who’s away in heat at  the mo’ on holiday. They’re something to take the edge of the return. Ben is original Keynsham Casual No.1. I met a connected Casual who could, so had to ask. He delivered. They are splendid. Good job I don’t wear Adidas, or that would have been testing, nein?

Adidas ZX850s

Sorry if S&E has seemed pony of late. It’s not you, its me. Trying to keep it up. Testing things out you see? Testing, testing. Its all getting very testing.

Afternoon Style Banteristas. Noticed that the hotter it gets, surely enough more short posts happen?

Incotex cream shorts (click).

Decked out for the decking at JW’s, just add singlet and jewellery to taste.
